The personal challenges Mama Nosake has overcome mirror the all too familiar stories taking place in many parts of South Africa. HIV/AIDS has devastated the country and left behind a generation of orphans. Who will feed and take care of these millions of orphans? See how just one person can make a difference?

Since the initial filming of “Call Her Mama” the Oceans network of food clubs inspired by Mama Nosake has grown to feeding over 2000 children per day across the Eastern Cape Region of South Africa. Each Food Club is headed by a strong willed Mama with a personal story not unlike Mama Nosakes.

As you review the Oceans of Mercy site you will learn that Oceans is active in a variety of projects including building and supporting Orphan Care Centers, helping support two orphanages through Child Sponsorship, Care Worker Training programs and Abstinence Education.
