About the Run

When and Where is the Run?

How Do I Get Involved?

Raise funds

Oceans of Mercy is changing lives one child at a time. Every extra dollar you raise will feed 16 children for a day.  Learn how you can raise additional funds to help these children when you register for the race or  Click here to set up your personal fundraising page!

Run (or walk!) for Mercy

Get out there and show your support for this important cause! The Run for Mercy is one of the most highly attended races in Kansas City.  Over 4,ooo runners and walkers have participated in the race since 2009; over 7,000 since the race's inception in 2004. Make an impact by helping to improve the lives of South African children infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.  T-shirts will be provided while supplies last.

Hand-made race medallions, directly from Port St. John's South Africa, will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers of the 5k and 10k races.  Additionally,  each male and female age category winner for the 5k and 10k will receive a hand-made race medallion.
